The Sun Finally Appears!

After 6 days of clouds and rain, the sun finally appeared (albeit somewhat sporodically) this afternoon, so we went golfing, tubing, swimming and took the Zing to the Quack Shack for ice cream. Our friends came to visit for the day (their daughter is Alison's classmate), as did some cousins. 

Pool Fun

We went to visit our friends at Dartmouth yesterday and they had a heated pool (we have yet to see the sun in 5 days here) so the girls had a blast swimming... 

Sunapee & Canobie Lake Park

My sister and her family weren't able to join the extended Tilson clan at Lake Sunapee, NH earlier this month, so my family and parents have come back to spend a week with them. We all arrived on Thursday evening and are having a fine time, despite mediocre weather -- it's been cool and cloudy since we got here and it's now pouring rain. UGH!

We celebrated my mom's 66th birthday on Friday evening and yesterday, Dana, Peter and I took the 4 girls to Canobie Lake Park for the day. It was crowded, but the girls had a ball!

I lent Alison my digital camera for a few minutes and this is what she came back with! I gotta save this for her rehearsal dinner... LOL! 

Water Fun

We've been in the Berkshires for the past week and have had lots of friends come visit. We've gone tubing (hitting some big waves), water skiing (including Alison going outside the wake for the first time), climbing and sliding on the inflatable raft in the lake and playing at a nearby water park. We're going back to Lake Sunapee this afternoon to spend a week with my parents, sister and her family. 

A Big Hike

We went hiking with my cousins today -- they have two boys, Darren and Foster, ages 7 and 5. We started in Newbury, at the southern tip of Lake Sunapee, and hiked 2 miles up to Lake Solitude. After a picnic, we hiked another mile to the top of Mt. Sunapee and took the chairlift down. Darren and Foster caught lots of little animals and showed them to our girls.

After hiking, the moms took the kids swimming while Stevie and I snuck off for a quick 9 holes of golf. Then, we all went out to Pizza Chef and are about to collapse!
